Saddle Pulmonary Embolism (PE) CT Findings
- Large pulmonary embolism that is draped over the pulmonary trunk bifurcation
- Only occurs with acute PE
- Can be difficult to distinguish from a pulmonary artery sarcoma

Etiology:
- Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)
- Prolonged immobility
- Blood clots
Epidemiology:
- Median age is 60 years
- Slightly more common in women
Presentation:
- Shortness of breath
- Chest pain
- Syncope
Prognosis:
- High mortality rate
- 25% succumb instantly
