  • Soft tissue mass
  • Soft tissue infiltration of the appendix
  • Mural nodularity
  • Irregular wall thickening
  • Regional and distant lymphadenopathy

Etiology:

  • Unknown

Epidemiology:

  • Rare
  • Typically presents in the 5th-7th decades of life

Presentation:

  • Typically found incidentally
  • Palpable mass
  • GI obstruction
  • GI bleed

Prognosis:

  • The 5-year relative survival rate for all appendiceal cancers is 67-97%
  • As appendiceal adenocarcinoma is rare, the true prognosis is unknown
