Epidemiology:
- Rare
- Typically presents in the 5th-7th decades of life
Presentation:
- Typically found incidentally
- Palpable mass
- GI obstruction
- GI bleed
Prognosis:
- The 5-year relative survival rate for all appendiceal cancers is 67-97%
- As appendiceal adenocarcinoma is rare, the true prognosis is unknown
