- Focal
- Low density
- Rim enhancement
- May have air
- Can simulate cyst, cystic tumor, infarct or hemorrhage

Etiology:
- Hematogeneous spread
- Infection
- Infarction
- Contamination
- Trauma
- Renal disease
Epidemiology:
- Rare
- Bimodal: typically presents in the 3rd and 6th decades
Presentation:
- Fever
- Abdominal pain
- Nausea and/or vomiting
- Palpable mass
Prognosis:
- Requires treatment
- Mortality has been reported around 47%
