  • Wide hematogenous spread
  • Local granulomas that consist of a region of central necrosis
  • Surrounded by a well-delineated rim of epithelioid histiocytes and fibrous tissue
  • 1-3mm nodules randomly distributed
  • Bilobular
  • Thickened interlobular septa

Epidemiology:

  • More common in males
  • Typically affects adolescents and older individuals

Presentation:

  • Cough
  • Chest pain

Prognosis:

  • High morbidity and mortality
