Pulmonary Arteriovenous Malformation (PAVM) CT Findings

  • Feeding artery and draining vein must have an intervening vascular nidus
  • Often unilateral
  • Usually found in the lower lobes
  • Multiple PAVMs more common in HHT disease

Epidemiology:

  • Associated with HHT

Presentation:

  • Asymptomatic

  • High morbidity and mortality
