  • Fluid and debris
  • Normal-appearance boundary surfaces and mediastinal fat
  • Increased frequency of esophageal and lung cancer

Etiology:

  • Unknown

Epidemiology:

  • Patients typically between 25 and 60 years of age

Presentation:

  • Dysphagia
  • Feeling of food and drink stuck in the throat
  • Vomiting
  • Chest pain
  • Heartburn
  • Nocturnal coughing

Prognosis:

  • Can be managed to avoid complications
