Ameloblastoma CT Findings
- Most commonly occurs in posterior mandible
- Presents as an expansile, radiolucent, multilocular mass
- Internal Septations form “honeycomb” appearance

Etiology:
- Unknown
Epidemiology:
- Very rare
- Most common in 4th-7th decades of life
- More common in Africa and Asia
Presentation:
- Slow-growing swelling around jaw
- Dental malocclusion
- Loose teeth
- Palpable mass
Prognosis:
- Ameloblastomas are benign but can cause severe facial disfigurement
- Maxillofacial surgery is needed to remove the tumor
- Recurrence is not uncommon
