  • Large in size
  • Poorly defined margins
  • Involvement of both lobes
  • Mass effect on trachea and/or larynx
  • Invasion of adjacent structures

Etiology:

  • Unknown

Epidemiology:

  • Rare
  • Typically presents after age 60
  • More common in females

Presentation:

  • Palpable mass that grows quickly
  • Dysphagia
  • Dyspnea
  • Vocal changes
  • Cough

Prognosis:

  • The 5-year relative survival rates are:
    • Localized: 45%
    • Regional: 14%
    • Distant: 5%
    • All SEER stages combined: 10%
