- Calcification in renal pyramids is the most common
- High attenuation
- Calculi are of variable size

Other Information About Nephrocalcinosis
Etiology:
- Caused by destructive diseases including polycystic kidney disease, pyelonephritis, TB, medullary sponge kidney, etc.
Epidemiology:
- Typically presents in the pediatric population
Presentation:
- Typically asymptomatic
- Polyuria
- Polydipsia
- Hypertension
Prognosis:
- Nephrocalcinosis is not curable
- Prognosis depends on the cause of the disease
