Bosniak 2F Cyst CT Findings
- Wall and septa show minimal thickening
- Irregular/nodular calcifications
- Several septa present with minimal thickening and enhancement
- Any complicated renal cyst >3cm is classified as Bosniak 2F
- Careful following is needed
Other Information About Bosniak Cysts
Etiology:
- Usually occur after age 40
Epidemiology:
- Usually occur after age 40
- Males are more likely to have malignant cysts
Presentation:
- Usually asymptomatic
Prognosis:
- Usually does not require treatment as most are Bosniak 1
- Symptomatic cysts may need to be removed
