Tumoral Calcinosis CT Findings
- Calcific mass
- Homogeneous
- Patchy increased attenuation
- Fluid-fluid levels
- Calcium layering (“sedimentation sign”)
- Radiodense component
- Does not involve bone but can erode bone

Other Information About Tumoral Calcinosis
Etiology:
- Unknown
- Associated with chronic renal failure
Epidemiology:
- Rare
- Typically presents in the first 2 decades of life
- More common in males
- More common in patients with African ancestry
Presentation:
- Palpable mass
Prognosis:
- Can be removed with surgery
- Recurrence is common
