Etiology:

  • Unknown

Epidemiology:

  • Typically presents after age 60
  • More common in patients with European ancestry

Presentation:

  • Typically asymptomatic
  • Swollen lymph nodes
  • Night sweats
  • Fever
  • Anorexia
  • Weight loss

Prognosis:

  • The 10-year relative survival rate is estimated to be over 80%
  • Patients with CLL are staged according to the Rai or Binet staging systems, which affects prognosis
