Hepatoblastoma CT Findings
- Well circumscribed mass
- Slightly hypoattenuating
- Hypervascular
- May have a central scar
- More commonly in the right lobe of the liver
- Can be solitary or multifocal
- Calcification may occur but is uncommon
- Larger tumors may have hemorrhage and/or cystic necrosis

Other Information About Hepatoblastoma
Etiology:
- Unknown
- Associated with low birth weight, premature birth, and preeclampsia
- Alcohol and tobacco use during pregnancy increases risk of hepatoblastoma
Epidemiology:
- Very rare
- Typically presents before age 3
Presentation:
- Abdominal pain
- Nausea and/or vomiting
- Palpable mass
- Weight loss
- Anorexia
- Jaundice
Prognosis:
- The 5-year relative survival rate is about 80-90%
