Hepatic Infarction CT Findings
- Usually wedge shaped, peripheral, and low attenuation
- Can be rounded or irregularly shaped
- Can evolve into bike lakes
- Gas can be seen in both sterile and infected infarcts
- Vascular clot or occlusion may be present

Etiology:
- Unknown
- May be linked to biliary carcinoma or hepatoma
Epidemiology:
- Rare
- Since many cases go undiagnosed, the true epidemiology is unknown
Presentation:
- Asymptomatic
- Fever
- Flank pain
Prognosis:
- Can be fatal
