  • Large vascular spaces
  • Central cavernous zone
  • Well defined outlines
  • < 3 cm diameter but can be over 10cm
  • Classic peripheral puddling on CT

Etiology:

  • Unknown

Epidemiology:

  • More common in females
  • Patients usually present at age 30-50

Presentation:

  • Cavernous hemangiomas may cause RUQ pain, bloating, loss of appetite, nausea, and vomiting

Prognosis:

  • Cavernous hemangiomas may need to be surgically removed if they are causing symptoms
