  • Usually a large solitary mass or multifocal lesions
  • Hypoattenuating mass
  • Heterogeneous enhancement in flame-shape pattern

Etiology:

  • Mostly unknown
  • Radiation therapy
  • Lymphedema
  • Exposure to chemicals such as arsenic or vinyl chloride
  • Associated with Klippel-Trenaunay Syndrome, Maffucci syndrome, and neurofibromatosis

Epidemiology:

  • Very rare
  • 3:1 male to female ratio
  • Typically presents at age 60-70

Presentation:

  • Initially asymptomatic
  • Abdominal pain
  • Weight loss
  • Bloating
  • Jaundice
  • Fatigue

Prognosis:

  • Very poor
  • 2-year survival rate is only 3%
