Sclerosing Mesenteritis CT Findings
- Soft tissue mass in the mesentery
- Preservation of fat around mesenteric vessels, “fat ring sign”
- May have calcification in the mass and/or collateral vessels

Etiology:
- Unknown
Epidemiology:
- Rare
- Typically presents after age 40-50
Presentation:
- Most patients are asymptomatic
Prognosis:
- SM is benign
- Can be difficult to distinguish from carcinoid tumor
