- Desmoplastic reaction in the mesentery
- Calcification of mesenteric mass
- Liver metastasis (hypervascular)

- Unknown
- Linked to MEN1 and NF1
Epidemiology:
- More common in women
- Typically present in the 6th-7th decades of life
Presentation:
- Typically asymptomatic
- Abdominal pain
- Diarrhea
- Nausea
Prognosis:
- The 5-year relative survival rates for all GI carcinoid tumors is:
- Localized: 97%
- Regional: 96%
- Distant: 68%
- All SEER stages combined: 94%
