• Abnormal rounded soft tissue “shadow”
• Fluid-containing
• Retention of contrast in the diverticula
• Mucosa-lined contrast-filled outpouching

Etiology:

• Unknown

Epidemiology:

• Rare
• Typically present in middle aged patients but can affect patients of all ages

Presentation:

• Typically asymptomatic and an incidental finding
• Dyspepsia
• Nausea and/or vomiting
• Abdominal pain

Prognosis:

• The true prognosis of gastric diverticulum isn’t known due to its rarity
• Gastric diverticulum can lead to life-threatening complications
