Gastrinoma CT Findings
- Found in the “Gastrinoma triangle” or “Passaro’s triangle” (the space between the junction of cystic duct/CBD, 2/3rd part of duodenum, and pancreatic head/neck junction)
- < 5cm
- Can be single or multiple
- May lead to Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome

Etiology:
- Unknown
Epidemiology:
- Typically present in the 3rd-6th decades of life
- Slightly more common in males
Presentation:
- Typically asymptomatic
- Abdominal pain
- Diarrhea
- Indigestion
- Nausea and/or vomiting
- Hematochezia and/or hematemesis
- Weight loss
Prognosis:
- If the tumor is resected before metastasizing then the 5-year relative survival rate can surpass 90%
- After metastasis, the survival rate goes down to about 43%
