Pancreatic Paraganglioma CT Findings
- Isodense or hypodense mass
- Boundary is usually clear but may be ill defined
- Shows severe enhancement on contrast-enhanced scans
- Mostly occurs in the pancreatic head
- Biliary ducts are usually not dilated
- Rare

Etiology:
- Unknown
Epidemiology:
- Very rare
- Occur twice as often in females as in males
- A wide age range has been documented for pancreatic paraganglioma
Presentation:
- Abdominal pain
- Palpable mass
Prognosis:
- Pancreatic paragangliomas are very rare so true prognosis is unknown
- Malignant paragangliomas have a 5-year relative survival rate of around 50%
- About 10% of all pancreatic paragangliomas are malignant
