Ampullary Carcinoma CT Findings
- Irregular nodular mass at distal margin of the pancreaticobiliary junction
- Hypoattenuation mass around 40 HU
- Borders may be lobulated or infiltrating

- Unknown
Epidemiology:
- Rare
- More common in males
- Typically presents after age 70 but can occur at any age
Presentation:
- Jaundice
- Weight loss
- Loss of appetite
- Abdominal and/or back pain
- Diarrhea and/or blood in stool
- Nausea and/or vomiting
- Itchy skin
- Fever
Prognosis:
- Since ampullary carcinoma is rare, the prognosis is largely unknown
- Overall 5-year relative survival rate is around 30-70%
