Pancreatic Lipoma CT Findings

• Homogeneous
• Low density (between -120 and -30 HU)
• Well defined borders
• Lack of contrast enhancement
• Does not infiltrate to the surrounding tissues

Etiology:

• Unknown

Epidemiology:

• Very rare
• Mostly seen in middle aged and elderly patients

Presentation:

• Usually asymptomatic
• Larger lipomas may obstruct the pancreatic duct which will cause symptoms

Prognosis:

• Pancreatic lipomas are benign
