Insulinoma CT Findings
- Usually < 2cm
 - Usually solitary
 - Occur either in the head, body, or tail of pancreas
 - Are typically hypervascular

Etiology:
- Unknown
 - Associated with MEN1
 
Epidemiology:
- Rare
 - Most commonly occurs in 6th decade of life
 
Presentation:
- Hypoglycemia, particularly in the morning or after prolonged periods without eating
 - Weakness
 - Confusion
 - Excessive sweating
 - Tachycardia
 
Prognosis:
- Can be surgically removed
 - Because pancreatic insulinoma is rare, the true prognosis is not known. Studies suggest the 10-year relative survival rate is as high as 87% for localized tumors and 33% for metastatic tumors
