Omental Infarct CT Findings
- Ball of fat around 3-8cm in diameter
- Often encapsulated
- Twisted omental vessels may be present
- Minimal or no inflammation of the colon

Etiology:
- Torsion
- Obesity
- Trauma
- Laxative use
Epidemiology:
- Bimodal: pediatric patients and those in 5th-6th decade of life
- Predominance in men
Presentation:
- Abdominal pain
Prognosis:
- Can be resolved with surgery
