Spleen CT Appearances
Primary Splenic Lymphoma CT Findings
- Low attenuating solid lesions
- Diffuse, uniform infiltration
- Multiple small or large nodules
- Enlarged spleen
Other Information About Splenic Lymphoma
Etiology:
- Hepatitis C
- Autoimmune disorders
- May spontaneously develop
Epidemiology:
- Rare
- Most common after age 60
Presentation:
- Typically asymptomatic
- Splenomegaly may cause symptoms
Prognosis:
- As splenic lymphoma is rare, the prognosis is unknown
- Many patients diagnosed with splenic lymphoma live several years past the diagnosis
