Primary Splenic Lymphoma CT Findings

  • Low attenuating solid lesions
  • Diffuse, uniform infiltration
  • Multiple small or large nodules
  • Enlarged spleen

Primary Splenic Lymphoma CT Findings

Other Information About Splenic Lymphoma

Etiology:

  • Hepatitis C
  • Autoimmune disorders
  • May spontaneously develop

Epidemiology:

  • Rare
  • Most common after age 60

Presentation:

  • Typically asymptomatic
  • Splenomegaly may cause symptoms

Prognosis:

  • As splenic lymphoma is rare, the prognosis is unknown
  • Many patients diagnosed with splenic lymphoma live several years past the diagnosis
