Emphysematous Cystitis CT Findings
- Gas that outlines the bladder wall and bladder lumen
- Subcutaneous emphysema
- More common in diabetes patients
- Can be a surgical emergency

Other Information About Emphysematous Cystitis
Etiology:
- Infectious caused by gas-producing bacteria
- Recurrent UTIs increase the risk of EC
Epidemiology:
- Typically presents after age 60
Presentation:
- Abdominal pain
- Urinary urgency
- Dysuria
- Pneumaturia
- Fever
Prognosis:
- Typically treated with antibiotics
