- Intraluminal mass
- Asymmetric wall thickening
- Focal mass
- Small filling defect
- Calcification in bladder wall
Other Information About Bladder Cancer
Etiology:
- Smoking greatly increases risk
- Exposure to workplace chemicals (dyes, leather, paint, etc)
- Frequent UTIs
- Familial history
Epidemiology:
- Male to female ratio is 4:1
- Typically presents after age 55
- Twice as common in people of European ancestry
Presentation:
- Hematuria
- Dysuria
- Polyuria
- Back and/or pelvic pain
Prognosis:
- The 5-year relative survival rates are:
- In situ: 97%
- Localized: 72%
- Regional: 40%
- Distant 9%
- All SEER stages combined: 78%
