Pericardial Cyst CT Findings
- Smoothly marginated lesion surface
- Less than 10 HU
- No enhancement on contrast studies
- Size range from 2-30cm
- Usually incidental finding in an asymptomatic person
Other Information About Pericardial Cysts
Etiology:
- Usually congenital
Epidemiology:
- Equally in males and females
- 3rd-4th decade of life
Presentation:
- Generally asymptomatic
- Some may experience chronic cough, chest pain, and shortness of breath
Prognosis:
- Excellent
