Myocardial Bridging CT Findings
- An epicardial segment of a coronary artery that courses through the myocardium
- Nonatherosclerotic anatomic abnormalities of the coronary arteries
- Muscle overlying a segment of coronary artery causes this appearance
- Congenital anomaly seen in 0.5-2.5% of angiographic studies
- LAD midsegment is most common zone involved
- Deep segment bridging is 2.3 mm or more myocardial coverage

Etiology:
- Unknown
Epidemiology:
- Predominance in males
- Generally present after 2nd decade of life
Presentation:
- Often an incidental finding
- Chest pain
- Jaw and arm pain
- Arrhythmia
- Palpitations
- Shortness of breath
Prognosis:
- Generally good
- Incidence of sudden death has been reported
