  • Size is < 4cm
  • Low attenuation in the center
  • Central necrosis
  • Peripheral rim enhancement
  • Bilateral calcification of the adrenal is common

Other Information About Adrenal Tuberculosis

Etiology:

  • TB is caused by bacteria

Epidemiology:

  • Adrenal involvement in TB is rare

Presentation:

  • Fever
  • Anorexia
  • Weight loss
  • Nausea and/or vomiting
  • Abdominal pain

Prognosis:

  • TB can be treated with antibiotics
  • Adrenal TB can cause Addison’s disease
