Aldosteronoma CT Findings

• Usually unilateral but may be bilateral
• Mean diameter is 1.5 to 2.0 cm
• No significant enhancement
• Best found on thin section CT

Epidemiology:

• 4th-6th decades of life

Presentation:

• Hypertension, which can cause related symptoms

Prognosis:

• Aldosteronomas are benign but should be treated to avoid complications
• Classic angiography may be performed to define with site has the functioning aldosteronoma
