Diagnosis

Interposition of colon under right Hemidiaphragm on X-ray

Note
Chest x-ray in a patient with cough demonstrates hypoinflation. The lungs are clear. There is no evidence of pneumonia. The gastric air bubble is seen below the left hemidiaphragm. Air and haustral markings are noted below the right hemi diaphragm. This is an example of colonic interposition. This should not be mistaken for pneumoperitoneum.
