CASE NUMBER 8
Diagnosis

Posterior Reversible Encephalopathy Syndrome.

Note
There is extensive T2/FLAIR signal abnormality predominantly affecting the subcortical white matter of the occipital lobes symmetrically. There is no associated restricted diffusion or enhancement. The patient did, however, develop a small focus of hemorrhage within the affect region on the right on serial examinations. The degree of signal abnormality gradually subsided in this patient who was on chemotherapy, compatible with posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome.
