CASE NUMBER 332
Diagnosis

Sinus Mycetoma

Note
These images show dense opacification of the left maxillary sinus with stippled central calcification and maxillary sinus wall osteitis. The dense material extends through the left maxillary antrum in the left frontoethmoidal recess and the left nasal cavity. The remaining sinuses are relatively clear. These are more typical features of a mycetoma given its central calcification and predominant involvement of a single sinus. Findings were confirmed on pathology which showed noninvasive aspergillus. Erosion would also be more characteristic of allergic fungal sinusitis
