Discitis-Osteomyelitis

Note
There is vertebral endplate destruction and an inflammatory process involving the distorted disc space at the T12-L1 level, consistent with discitis-osteomyletitis in this patient who had a history of intravenous drug abuse. There is additionally spinal canal stenosis associated with an epidural collection and retropulsed osseous fragments. The patient presented with several weeks of progressive back pain and bilateral lower extremity weakness.
