Echinococcal cysts
Note
Patient with history of travel abroad. MRI and CT images demonstrate two masses in the liver and a large mass In the pelvis. Of the two masses in the liver, one demonstrates characteristic lamellated calcification, while the lesion in the pelvis demonstrates a characteristic "cyst-within-a-cyst" appearance. These cysts were found to represent echinococcal cysts in various stages of evolution.
