Introduction

In 1998, our lab created "3D CT Vascular Atlas," as an online RSNA exhibit that, over time, has evolved into one of the largest and most comprehensive educational resources devoted to computed tomography (CT) available on the internet: www.CTisus.com. This exhibit traces the evolution of CTisus from a simple website utilizing flat HTML and image files to its present-day incarnation using a dynamic web content management system based on a robust information architecture to effectively manage all aspects of the life cycle of content including development and presentation. We address the changing nature of the technology used to present the website, as well as specific changes that we have made to the website such as the presentation of teaching files, lectures (audio and video), search capabilities, and website navigation.
