| Diagnosis: Cor Triatriatum Cor Triatriatum: Facts - Anomaly where the left atrium separated by a membrane or a fibromuscular band
- In pediatric patients associated with major congenital lesions including Tetrology of Fallot, double outlet right ventricle or coarctation
- Usually involves left atrium although occasionally may involve the right atrium
- 0.1-0.4% of all infants with cardiac disease
- Most patients present in infancy but others may present in childhood or early adulthood
Cor Triatriatum: Clinical Presentation - Asymptomatic
- Heart murmur
- Incidental finding on imaging study
- Symptomatic
- Exertional dyspnea
- Hemoptysis
- Atrial fibrillation (palpitations)
- Systemic thromboembolism
