Persistent Hyperplastic Vitreous

Note
In this case multiple findings are present. With regard to the clinical concern for a congenital abnormality of the left eye, findings compatible with persistent hyperplastic primary vitreous are present. Specifically, the left globe is asymmetrically small and there is a tuft of retrolental soft tissue with an associated posteriorly extending stalk. Retinal detachment is additionally present, somewhat distorted by a coloboma.
