CASE NUMBER 83
Diagnosis

Infarct (Internal Capsule)

Note
In this patient who presented with right facial droop and right arm weakness, there is an acute lacunar infarction of the posterior limb of the left internal capsule, which represents a relatively common clinical manifestation of lacunar stroke syndrome with pure motor involvement given that the corticospinal tract courses through this location.
