Hangman's Fracture on X-ray

Note
Trauma. Frontal and lateral x-rays of the C-spine demonstrate A hangmans fracture of C2. Note the fracture line through the posterior elements (arrows). Theres only minimal soft tissue swelling and minimal displacement in this patient. This type of fracture is usually caused by hyperextension.
