Anomalous Anatomy

Left Main Coronary Artery off the RCA (Interarterial)
The left main coronary artery arises off the right coronary artery. The right coronary artery tracts along the AV grove to the inferior surface of the heart giving rise to the posterior coronary artery. The left main coronary artery then tracts posteriorly between the right ventricular outflow tract and the ascending aorta.

Inferior view of axial CT shows the RCA giving rise to a long left main coronary artery.

Inferior view of axial CT shows the RCA giving rise to a long left main coronary artery. The left main coronary artery tracts left and anterior to the PA and then gives off the LAD, ramus, and circumflex artery.

Superior view of axial CT shows the RCA giving rise to a long left main coronary artery. The left main coronary artery tracts left and anterior to the PA and then gives off the LAD, ramus, and circumflex artery.

Right lateral oblique view of volume rendered image shows the RCA giving rise to a long left main coronary artery.

Anterior-superior view of volume rendered image shows the RCA giving rise to a long left main coronary artery. The LAD, ramus, and circumflex artery are also seen.

Curved planar image shows the RCA giving rise to a long left main coronary artery.
