We previously urged graduating medical students and residents to follow their passions as new doctors and, in the spirit of Ralph Waldo Emerson and Robert Frost, to mark their own paths and take the road not taken [ 1 ]. Easy for us to say. We are happy in our chosen careers and how they have evolved, and we feel encouraged by the increasing overall demand for radiologists in the United States [ 2 ]. However, what is the best way forward for students and young professionals? Or is there such a thing?
