Recently, I read an article about a lawsuit by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission that alleged that my hospital had violated the Age Discrimination in Employment Act and Americans With Disabilities Act by forcing physicians older than 70 years to take neuropsychological and eye examinations to maintain staff privileges. I have no profound insights about the legal merits of this lawsuit, but I have been thinking a lot about aging as a radiologist.
