    Objective We discuss five scenarios in which retroperitoneal abnor¬malities are imaged. Conclusion Retroperitoneal disorders may manifest as a focal or dif¬fuse abnormality and may be benign or malignant. Imaging plays a key role in providing a differential diagnosis in pa¬tients with retroperitoneal abnormalities.
