The latest version of Lung-RADS, version 2022, was released in November 2022, based on new data and insights gleaned from practitioners of lung cancer screening. Changes were made to address the classification criteria of atypical pulmonary cysts, juxtapleural nodules, infectious or inflammatory findings, and airway nodules. There were clarifications to the description of growth and to the "S" modifier. Finally, changes in stepped management and consideration of interval diagnostic computed tomography scan were made. The size thresholds for both solid nodules and subsolid nodules remain unchanged in Lung-RADS v2022.
