Advances in the design of prostheses and increasing experience in their use have resulted in aortic endovascular stent placement becoming a realistic alternative to conventional surgical techniques. The current indications for abdominal aortic stenting include both stenotic and aneurysmal aortic diseases and management of acute aortic dissection.
