Sclerosing mesenteritis is a rare entity with a nonspecific histology, and its imaging features are pivotal to the diagnosis. To our knowledge, the multidetector CT and three-dimensional volume-rendered depictions of sclerosing mesenteritis have not previously been described in the literature. We believe that the unique perspectives of multidetector CT and its high-quality mesenteric angiograms are ideally suited to imaging of this particular disorder, and that the novel approach of multidetector CT has some relevance to imaging diseases of the mesentery in general.
