Sequence versus Spiral Routine Head
« on: January 23, 2019, 04:47:55 pm »
Good Afternoon Dr Fishman,

I am involved in a regional CT protocol standardization project. This is a very interesting exercise!  One group of radiologists strongly recommends that sequenced, rather than spiral scanning, is the ONLY way to go for a routine CT brain.  I do seem to recall that there can be slightly better spatial resolution.  Is this actually much better, or just a personal preference, in your opinion?  For some of our larger scanners, gantry tilt may no longer be possible.
